Baedeker of Warsaw that was a prize from antiquity shop. Published not so long time before, but not available in book stores any more. One could regard it as bottomless boring. The essence of boring facts about countless palaces, churches, living quarters, and so on. No single word about: where to eat, where to shop and party. And that was exactly what we were looking for. After crisscrossing Warsaw with the guidebook we felt not fully satisfied. Many objects worth visiting, was left aside, not described, not mentioned as points of interest. And Baedeker listed them systematically. So we were systematically reaching most distant parks and small ancient chapels. We could become experts in Warsaw’s architectural monuments, but cannot remember all that facts and figures.
